Turkey’s prime minister said the government would never allow an “artificial state” to exist in northern Syria, which is code-speak for “a Kurdish state.” Turkey’s government is much more interested in thwarting the Kurds than in defeating ISIS. The prime minister also said the government will spend $3.4 billion in southeastern Turkey repairing the damage it created while chasing the PKK.
